Chefs of Betony Come to Visit

We are always happy to have visitors at our Union, NJ office. When Chef Bryce Shuman of Betony in NYC made the trip, along with two chefs from his kitchen, he came bearing gifts.

The first was an autographed dish for the wall of plates in our dining hall. The message reads: “Dear Ariane, Thank you for being one of our partners in greatness for many years, and for many more to come.  -Bryce and the team at Betony.”

Ariane was pleased to receive both the signed plate and this beautiful acknowledgment of the part D’Artagnan plays in the menu at Betony. Chef Bryce framed a quote from their 3-star New York Times review which raves about our chicken. Ariane plans to display that in a prominent place in her office.

Since we always feed our visitors, our NY sales rep Alex Stotler, who was a professional chef for many years, prepared a lovely brunch for the Betony crew.

A charcuterie board with foie gras torchon, saucisson sec, duck prosciutto, smoked duck breast and smoked chicken breast, duck rillettes and truffle butter kept Chef Bryce busy! And a polenta bread with chorizo and spinach was topped with fried quail eggs and duck bacon filled out the meal. Then of course, there was a little wine. It was brunch, after all.
