Some consider them the height of luxury, but truffles can be enjoyed easily and affordably with our truffle butter, truffle oil and truffle peelings. And New Year’s Eve is certainly an occasion worthy of truffles.

Read on for 6 ways to serve truffles at a gathering. Our recipes are easy-to-make plays on party foods you already love. Try them for New Year’s Eve or anytime …

1. Truffled Popcorn

To get the party going with a little whimsy, serve Duck Fat Popcorn drizzled with melted truffle butter. This stuff is addictive, so make a large batch. Get the 1 pound log of black truffle butter; it stores well in the freezer, and always comes in handy.

2. Cheese Balls with Truffles

Nothing says “cocktail hour” like these Truffle Butter Gougeres. Make them last minute before the party, and serve them hot. Highlight of the night, guaranteed.

3. Truffles & Mushrooms, Oh, My!

Umami-rich organic mushrooms and herbed crème fraîche make a delectable filling for these crowd-pleasing Crispy Mushroom Triangles. The only thing better than flaky phyllo dough is phyllo made crispy and golden with black truffle butter. This is finger food that makes you want to lick your fingers.

4. Long on Shortbread

Truffle Butter Shortbread is a welcome addition to charcuterie boards or cheese plates, but you may find yourself nibbling on these all by themselves. Easy to make ahead and keep in the fridge, then bake right before the party.

5. Take a Dip – The Truffles Are Fine

It’s a party, so there will be dip, but why make that sour cream and onion concoction again?  This white bean dip is made with Haricot Tarbais, our very special imported beans, and studded with preserved truffle peelings. Serve with your favorite raw veggies, crackers or toasted baguette.

6. Truffles for a Sweet Tooth

Make something sweet to finish the night: this Black Truffle Ice Cream with Honey Florentines. Adapted from David Lebovitz’s frozen treat bible, The Perfect Scoop: Ice Creams, Sorbets, Granitas, and Sweet Accompaniments, this recipe subtly balances the earthy truffle aroma with bourbon vanilla. It’s a triple truffle recipe with a winter black truffle,  truffle peelings and truffle butter, and is the perfect way to end the night and start the new year.
