7 Mushroom Recipes You Will Love

Well, it’s National Mushroom Day. We focused on mushrooms throughout September (it was mushroom month), but we still have some love left. If you appreciate fungi like we do, here are 7 recipes that pop with mushroom flavor for you to try.

1. Crispy Mushroom Triangles

Because somehow everything is better in phyllo dough, especially when it’s brushed with black truffle butter. Umami-rich organic mushrooms and herbed crème fraîche make a delectable filling for these crowd-pleasing hors d’oeuvres.

2. Deviled Quail Eggs with Porcini and Parmesan

Don’t let these teeny deviled eggs fool you – they are umami-bombs, thanks to a healthy dose of porcini powder! Try Velvet Pioppini mushrooms on top, or find the tiniest button mushrooms you can.

3. Mushroom-Stuffed Wild Boar Roast with Black Truffle Sauce

This roast couldn’t be easier or more delicious! Hearty wild boar is stuffed with sautéed mushrooms and served with a delectable pan-sauce that’s silkened with black truffle butter. Are you sensing a theme?

4. Creamed Mushrooms on Toast

We love mushroom toast any time of the day – think cozy brunch, late afternoon snack, or even dinner appetizer. This recipe from Colman Andrews can be made with virtually any mushrooms, and we like to add a knob of black truffle butter. Just because.

5. Wild Mushroom Bacon Dip

Adapted from a Martha Stewart recipe, this mushroom-packed dip is smokey, creamy & totally addicting. Serve it with your favorite thick-cut potato chips or (if you’re feeling virtuous) crudités. It’s a party favorite.

6. Pasta with Foie Gras & Wild Mushrooms

You love pasta. You love foie gras. Throw in some mushrooms and porcini powder and you have this amazing dish.  It’s a simple recipe that brings a little luxury to a weeknight dinner. The best part? It comes together in minutes.

7. Broiled Wild Mushrooms with Tamari Butter

This simple recipe from Bruce and Eric Bromberg of Blue Ribbon fame, has few ingredients but is packed with umami. It’s a favorite dish at their New York City restaurant, Blue Ribbon Sushi, and once you see how easy and delicious it is from your own kitchen, we have no doubt it will be one your favorites too!
